What Parents Need To Know
When speaking to your child’s practitioner, remember that registration for the Bana Pele programme is completely free. They should never be asked to pay for registration support. If someone does ask for money, it could be a scam. Please report it immediately to banapele@dbe.gov.za
Also, it’s important to note that registration is only for ECD Centres and that the registration drive does not include learnerships or training opportunities. The focus is to help existing centres become officially registered so children can benefit from improved services and support.
