From Bronze Registration
Once your ECD centre receives Bronze registration, you are now eligible to move to the next step which is Silver/Gold. Silver registration means that you are conditionally registered for 3 years and still need to work towards full registration. Silver registered ECDs are eligible for the subsidy.
Gold registration means you are fully registered for 5 years and eligible for the subsidy.
Silver Registration
- Apply for Silver registration on eCares using the same Bronze eCares profile (username and password)
- Upload required Silver/Gold submission (S) documents to complete application
- ECD Owner or Practitioner to improve or close gaps on their centre’s registration compliance requirements
- The ECD to receive site visits from both the Education District official and local municipal Environmental Health Practitioner
Gold Registration
- Completing Gold Registration:
- Completed Silver/Gold application (with all required submission documents and site assessments completed) is reviewed and approved by the Education District Official
- Successful ECD Silver/Gold application is awarded conditional or full registration
- Unsuccessful ECD programmes will receive a notice to fix compliance requirements

An Emergency Plan is a legal requirement and should be displayed where the staff can see it. It outlines steps to follow during emergencies or disasters including a route for leaving the building quickly and safely. It must include a list of emergency phone numbers. Please ensure that your Emergency Plan is clearly displayed where everyone at the programme can see it.
