The ground-breaking South African children’s programme, Takalani Sesame is back with exciting new episodes on your TV screens and streaming on YouTube! Now in its 15th season, the programme continues to bring fun and educational content for everyone. Now with a multiplatform distribution strategy, parents and caregivers can now watch Takalani Sesame on SABC 2, eTV, eToonz and also stream on 123Kaboodle and YouTube.
In these new episodes, the Muppets explore how everyone can play, whether they’re boys, girls, or anyone! Each episode features the Takalani Sesame Muppets playing interactive games with their friends, inviting viewers to join the fun. But inevitably, one of the characters faces a challenge, a moment where their idea of what’s “okay” for boys, girls, or anyone to do is questioned. As always, the show encourages working together as friends to help the character recognise their conflict and reframe their perspective. Together, the Muppets learn that no matter the activity, all children can do anything and become whoever they want, regardless of gender.
